Frog Technicians (2)

Location: Eglin Air Force Base, Niceville, Florida

Job Description: Two technicians are needed to assist with a study of Florida bog frog population monitoring, habitat use, and competition with bronze frogs. Positions will require working nights regularly and occasional days in potentially adverse conditions. Responsibilities will include conducting call surveys, capturing frogs, radio-telemetry, vegetation sampling, and more. Work will begin in early-May and run until mid-July or mid-August (depending on the position). Qualifications: Candidates must be capable of operating 4WD vehicles in difficult terrain, orienting on unmarked roads, and working independently. Experience with amphibians, call surveys, or vegetation sampling is desirable but not necessary.

Salary: $8-10/hr; Field housing will be available.
